Set in the Steam Era of New York City, animals were not our furry cuddly friends they are now. Humans would use them as service animals – dogs towing shopping carts for the ladies, birds hanging laundry, cats giving back scratches, etc.
After the mouse and rat population was threatened by the Mayor’s office, two small mice set out to organize the animals to stand up for their rights. This tells the fictional story about how these amazing animals became – Pets.
A government operative leaves the service of a highly classified black ops division to retire to his Dad’s farm in Oregon.
Once he leaves, the service decides he has to stay active because he knows too much. When he refuses, they decide to terminate him. His father has mixed feelings about him coming home as well. His son doesn’t know that he founded the division and secretly recruited him from the beginning. He doesn’t want to reveal his secret, but also knows they are coming for him.
If he protects him, he will be a target also. So both father and son go on the run in a fight for their lives, get to know each other for truly the first time, while trying to figure out how to survive and get their lives back.

Irving enlists the help of Ana, a university professor of symbolism to help decipher some ancient scrolls. During a speech, Irving is kidnapped, and left behind are a series of clues and information that tells Michael and Ana how to find him, and enlightens them about the truth of Irving’s worries.
Both targets now as well, they barely get out of Miami alive as they go to Vancouver B.C. to follow the clues, where they meet up with some of Irving’s friends and fellow believers.
After attempting to rob a house to avenge a wrong, but instead shot one of the owners, four multi-ethnic young men go on the run.
While driving they get lost – very lost. In fact, by morning they find themselves in 1968 Memphis, two days before the assassination of Martin Luther King.
While desperately trying to find a way back to their time, they are being hunted by both the police and the KKK, while learning quite a lot about racism and each other along the way.
